Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hawaii Realty Rebrands as Hawai'i Modern Realty

Hawai'i's trusted real estate leader, formerly known as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hawaii Realty, has officially rebranded as Hawai'i Modern Realty, ending its 10-year affiliation with the national brand. The brokerage remains locally owned and operated, with Kalama Kim continuing as president, and retains its 150 agents across offices in Honolulu, Kailua, and Kapolei.

The move reflects the company's commitment to local, client-focused service. "Real estate is a local business," said Kim. "By becoming an independent brand, we can respond quickly to changes in the Hawaii market and invest directly in tools and services that benefit our clients and agents."

Despite shifting from a national to a local brand, Hawai'i Modern Realty has expanded its global reach by joining Leading Real Estate Companies of the World and Luxury Portfolio International, connecting the brokerage to high-end real estate experts worldwide.

The company, which closed nearly $394 million in sales in 2024 and over $2.7 billion in the past decade, continues its mission to serve Hawaii buyers and sellers with excellence. As part of the rebrand, Hawai'i Modern Realty is introducing advanced technology and AI-driven tools to streamline agent workflows and enhance client experiences, including a robust property search and valuation system, custom notifications, and market reports.

Hawai'i Modern Realty is the same trusted team, with a modern, local brand and a renewed focus on supporting clients, agents, and the Hawaii community.
