John brings a unique perspective to his real estate practice that allows him to help his clients achieve their goal of home ownership. Along with an enthusiasm and passion to help them navigate the home ownership process, as a Doctor of Architecture graduate from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, John is able to use his architectural design background to help his clients better understand the many aspects of a home.

Born and raised on the island of Oahu, John has an immense appreciation and love for the place we call Hawaii. With real estate, he has now turned that love and appreciation into a professional expertise that only a true local can offer. He graduated from St. Louis School and then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University-Hawaii, majoring in ‘Psychology’ with a minor in ‘Conflict Resolution’.

He then pursued his graduate degree in Architecture from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. For his doctoral research project, John studied the issue of affordable housing in Hawaii and how to overcome some of its obstacles. He now carries that education and research with him as he helps local families win in this market. In his free time, you can find him at the beach surfing, dancing hula and other Polynesian cultures, or playing basketball. But what brings him his biggest joy is his two beautiful daughters, Tehina and Lehiwa, and his amazing wife, Maheata.

What drives him and his business is more than the money and personal accolades. As he puts it, “I don’t sell real estate, I want to build lasting relationships and help families reach their goals.”
